Teardrop
CampInn Teardrop Trailer
Let me introduce you to my road travel companion — a “CampInn” Teardrop Trailer (www.tinytrailer.com). My wife still works – otherwise I would certainly introduce her as my best travel friend. She’s the beauty on the left. I’m the ugly slob on the right.

Camp Inn Trailers (located in central Wisconsin) are the (quote) ”builders of high quality Teardrop camping trailers. A Teardrop camper is a compact travel trailer consisting of a sleeping cabin and a kitchen compartment. The Camp-Inn is styled after teardrop travel trailers from the 1930’s and 1940’s. A Teardrop camper gets its name from its unique streamlined shape. Teardrop campers were popular in the 1930-40’s and have recently been regaining popularity” (end-quote).
When I decided to start my semi-professional photography business, I needed a cheap mode of transportation & lodging. After retiring, I spent several years looking at & discarding the huge expense of buying a new rig large enough to haul or carry a normal (expensive) trailer &/or camper. I first became aware of teardrop camping trailers some four years ago while reading Spokane’s Spokesman Review’s travel section. I visited the proud owners of a CampInn trailer the next day & after visiting local builders & nation-wide web sites decided that CampInn trailers were likely the best teardrop trailers being manufactured. Even better, at only 900 pounds, it could be hauled behind my small 1999 Toyota RAV4 (another great product). I even drove four days each way to pick it up.
My first trip with the teardrop covered some 7,500 miles to the north edge of the Yukon Territories & Alaska & back home to Colville, WA. My teardrop & I have traveled to the southwest deserts (3 times), Yellowstone (3 times), Tetons, Black Hills, Colorado, & many local photography trips over the past 4 years — I would guess I’ve let close to 40,000 miles slide under it.
If you’re looking for an economic, fun, easy way to travel — consider a CampInn teardrop trailer. If you email
